ComEth4590a to wysokowydajny, wzmocniony dwupłaszczyznowy przełącznik Ethernet 3U VPX Layer 2/3 opracowany zgodnie ze standardem technicznym SOSA ™ (Sensor Open Systems Architecture). Integruje dwa zestawy niezależnych przełączników warstwy 2 (Ethernet) i 3 warstwy oraz procesorów sterujących w celu obsługi fizycznie oddzielonych płaszczyzn sterowania i danych dla wysoce zabezpieczonych systemów 3U VPX.
Te dwa procesory pakietowe Ethernet, zarządzane przez dwurdzeniowe procesory ARM, oferują niezwykłe możliwości przełączania w konfiguracjach 1G, 10G i 40G Ethernet.
ComEth4590a jest dostępny w wersji chłodzonej przewodowo.
